Bridesmaid's opinions
My chief bridesmaid came with me at the weekend to help me look at bridal dresses with another friend. She is very helpful and supportive, but she is also quite a dominant personality and opinionated. I felt that she took over the appointment and left me feeling 'steam-rollered' by the whole experience. I am booked in for a whole day of appointments with her this Saturday but am now not looking forward to it. I live 150 miles from home so it's difficult to get other friends or my mum to look at the dresses with us at short notice (& my other bridesmaid lives in Australia). Also, so far I have invited 4 different people dress shopping on various occasions and am reluctant to bring anyone else along as this will cause me more confusion. How can I tell that her behaviour is upsetting me, without offending her? And should I invite someone else along as a 'mediator' to these next appointments?

i apologise for the delay in replying .. i hope im not too late! ALl i can suggest is that you take the firm hand on this situation. i know that she is your friend but it sounds like she needs telling. YOU are the bride and this is your special day so all the lead up to it and the excitement of the dress appointments and the florists should be enjoyed not dreaded. Take the upper hand and be strong if she is your friend then she will understand one day when she is in the same position. I hope this helps.
