Bride's father's partner
I am the bride's father's partner. The bride's mother has a partner who is not going to the wedding because of a rift in the family. Whereabouts in the church would I sit as the partner of the bride's father and where would the bride's mother sit?

I understand that the very fact you are going to the wedding; you are not involved in the family rift. I think I would take advice on this fron either the bride herself or your partner. The question definitely needs to be asked as you do not want to offend anyone. If you have a good relationship with the bride and her mother I see no reason to prevent you sitting at front on the same row as the bride's mother; however I do suggest you have this conversation with them. By taking about this and pre-arranging your position you can not possibly offend or sit where someone does not want you to sit. It will be noted that you are sensitive enough to ask; which I am sure will be received very positively. GOOD LUCK MRS S

This is a tricky one as it depends on your relationship with the bride and other members of the family. I would suggest that unless the bride has specifically asked, you do not sit at the front pew of the church. The second row back, right behind your partner would be more appropriate.
